Besides its close proximity to the airport and the seaport, another advantage of Ehoala site is the availability of a 400 ha development area. The convergence of these physical factors promotes the establishment of an industrial and commercial zone whith significant potential for the development of the country in general and for various economic activities in the South in particular.

The Preliminary Project Summary (APS)  of the Master Plan was developed and approved by the APMF on March 15 2008. The APS outlines the main strategic axis for the port development and its concession area.

 The fragmentation of the 400 ha industrial area has been carried out then by an engineering company. This operation is to demarcate areas for different types of facilities to be erected on the peninsula according to planned investors’ activites: traffic lanes, locations for industrial use, natural reserve, etc.
 
The Master Plan is expected to be finalized in 2010, after consultation with all stakeholders.
